A 23 year old woman residing in Utawala, Nairobi has revealed how she was gang raped by 9 men in a bush near Buruburu. The woman whose name is Winfred Awino says that she was waiting for her boss outside the gate when a group of 9 men came and whisked her before they raped her and even inserted a broken bottle in her private parts.
"They confronted me toed me and I immediately became unconscious, I later regained consciousness when in the bush bleeding, they then inserted a broken bottle in my private parts before pushing my head inside a pool of water repeatedly." Said the woman who was speaking to ghetto radio.
The 9 men are said to have then dumped her along the road where she was helped by a stranger who took her to Mama Lucy hospital in Kayole where she received medical care. Upon knowing what had happened to her, she confessed to her mother who according to Awino was very sick and would later die after the terrible news of her daughter became too much for her to take.
Awino is who does cleaning jobs is now traumatized after being sexually exploited and the death of her mother which has left her depressed. She is however receiving mental help from a group of well wishers knows as CREAW in Kibra.
